The Master in Pest Science program UGM is implemented according to the Decree of Rector UGM No 1763/UN1.P/SK/HUKOR/2017 Year 2017, with credit system measured in Satuan Kredit Semester (SKS, Credit Semester Unit). The study load ranged 41 – 45 credits, consists of lectures, seminar, and research thesis. Students have to take 17 credits of compulsory courses, 8 credits of electives of specialization, a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 15 credits of elective courses, and 12 credits of thesis consisting of (proposal seminar, comprehensive examination, research, thesis manuscript, and final examination). One credit lecturer consists of 50 minutes lecture, 60 minutes academic activity and 60 minutes private study equal to 1.81 European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS). One credit of practicum consist of 170 minutes academic activity equal to 1.81 ECTS. One credit Thesis consist of 100 hour equal to 4 ECTS. Scientific publication is a graduation requirement based on the Chancellor’s Regulation No. 11 of 2016.
